Hurtin’ For A Squirtin’
Over 500 hours and 1K+ ounces is the life of this #ExclusivelyPumping mom.
You could say I know a thing or two when it comes to #hurtinforasquirtin ™️
Here are some of my top tips for a tolerable (because I’m about keeping it real here and pumping moms are the real MVPs of breastfeeding) #EP journey.
✔️If you hate/don’t want too/ feel uncomfortable or can’t physically nurse your baby... Girl. Just don’t. Stop buying into the “don’t quit on a bad day” crap... if you wanna stop. Stop. There’s little room for guilt in motherhood. Only YOU know what’s best for your baby. #isaidwhatisaid🗣
✔️ Treat yo’ self to a cute water bottle or tumbler from @tnzdesigns_ to help with your water intake! I can always tell when I’m not keeping up with my water when my supply starts to dip! You can even try healthy flavor enhancers like @liquidiv to make this easier!
✔️ Calories are your best friend! Eat that donut, girl.
✔️ Any true #EPmama knows that finding a comfortable spot to pump is a must! The more you can relax and breathe, the better your supply.
✔️ Check your flange sizes. The wrong size can be painful and drastically affect your OPP. (Output per pump)
✔️ Hand massaging during pump sessions is a game changers! Feel those babies up!
✔️ Find a pumping schedule that works for YOU. Sometimes we read things make us believe we might not be pumping enough or pumping too much. In reality, our bodies are a beautiful thing… And they know exactly what we need. That will range from mama to mama.
✔️ Keep a portable pump handy because #LifeHappens (like being stuck in a car with @beautifulbusylife ‘cause your hotel room isn’t ready and you have to pump in the car before a girls night out) 🤣 I love my @motifmedical electric pump!
✔️ Remember you’re a bad ass no matter how you feed that baby. They all end up little assholes with attitudes at 2 anyway. 🤷🏽♀️ What did you love most about your infant feeding journey?
Need my T-shirt? It’s a @tnzdesigns_ x @highheelshighchairs exclusive 🤣 Getcha one!
